Artist in Residence Reflections and Insights, an Artist Talk by ROMULUS

Presented by Angelina Mirabito

Join Angelina Mirabito for a conversation about her time as artist in residence at The Gladstone — a space in transition that has offered fertile ground for exploration, connection, and reimagining what a gallery can be.

This opportunity has been transformative not only in her own creative practice, but also in understanding the dynamics of gallery presentation. Having a bricks-and-mortar space has allowed Romulus Folio to present as a gallery in a tangible, embodied way — activating the space with thoughtful design, curation, and presence.

The residency has fostered collaboration, invited dialogue, and offered meaningful ways to connect with the local community — through open studios, workshops, and public events. It has brought together the often separate worlds of art-making and exhibition, turning the space itself into a collaborator.

Come along to hear how working within this living, transitional space has shaped Angelina and her work.

The exhibition and all events are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all visitors.
