Since April 2025, Romulus Folio Gallery & Dynamic Arts Hub have transformed a retail space on the ground floor of The Gladstone, into a vibrant space that fosters collaboration in Fisherman’s Bend through exhibitions, an open studio, workshops, talks, and an art-to-rent initiative to promote community engagement and accessibility and support creative industries.

Led by artist Angelina Mirabito, the space is used as an artist studio and offers diverse programs, including workshops, artist talks, and an art loan initiative, providing Fisherman’s Bend residents with direct access to contemporary art experiences. The aim has been to engage new audiences, nurture connections and collaborations, and extend visibility for Angelina’s artistic practice through a brick-and-mortar location.

With a focus on sustainability, the project has explored sustainable art practices—repurposing materials like used canvases, shipping pallets converted into canvases and mannequins into sculptures, prototyping impact walls, and exhibiting them—aligning with an ongoing documentary on the transformative power of art and collaboration.

You’ll find the ROMULUS Folio Gallery on the ground floor, next to Lobby B at The Gladstone, located at 15-85 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne, 3205.

I really appreciate being welcomed into the Fishermans Bend community and the opportunity to create, collaborate, and share my practice and the Romulus Folio Gallery. I look forward to connecting with residents and exploring the creative possibilities that unfold in this vibrant space.
