Engaging Fishermans Bend residents and nurturing creative connections and collaborations

From April 2025 to June 2026, Romulus Folio Gallery & Dynamic Arts Hub transformed a retail space on the ground floor of The Gladstone, into a vibrant space that fostered collaboration in Fisherman’s Bend through exhibitions, an open studio, workshops, talks, and an art-to-rent initiative to promote community engagement and accessibility and support creative industries.
Led by artist Angelina Mirabito, the space was used as an artist studio and offered diverse programs, including workshops, artist talks, and an art loan initiative, providing Fisherman’s Bend residents with direct access to contemporary art experiences. The aim was to engage new audiences, nurture connections and collaborations, and extend visibility for Angelina’s artistic practice through a short-term brick-and-mortar location.
With a focus on sustainability, the project also explored sustainable art practices—repurposing materials like used canvases, shipping pallets converted into canvases and mannequins into sculptures, prototyping impact walls, and exhibiting them—aligning with an ongoing documentary on the transformative power of art and collaboration.
