Showcasing innovative prototypes and solutions to support more sustainable futures in the construction and built environment sectors.
As Australia’s largest urban renewal area, innovation in the construction and built environment sector will be critical to make Fishermans Bend a low carbon community, as is identified as one of the eight sustainability goals in the Fishermans Bend Framework.
In partnership with Vaughan Constructions, this site activation is a platform to showcase new ways of approaching construction and urban design in response to these challenges.
From prototyping data collection methods, to new forms of construction and site utility, and emerging technologies, this site aims to showcase what the what the future of construction could look like to improve positive environmental outcomes, support biodiversity and climate-resilience, while also considering the changing needs of the industry.
“Partnering with FB IDEAs to activate our land and opened up fresh, innovative ideas and valuable partnerships. The activation has improved the functionality of the site. It has been a smart, strategic move that has delivered value for our business and staff – as well as the Fishermans Bend precinct. We’d welcome the chance to keep working with the team in the future if the opportunity presents itself.
