Thermodynamic Insights of Retrofitting Innovations in Fishermans Bend

  • FB IDEAs Incubator and Innovation Hub Level 1, 650 Lorimer Street Port Melbourne, VIC, 3207 Australia (map)

Join us for ESI’s presentation of the recently completed FB IDEAs project exploring innovative simulation methods and new ways to reduce HVAC costs in the built environment through advanced thermodynamic calculations and retrofitting solutions.

Windows are one of the most significant contributors to heating and cooling loads in commercial buildings - responsible for high percentages of unwanted heat loss and gain. This study focused on identifying feasible, cost-effective technologies to quantify and improve thermal efficiency, occupant’s comfort and NABERS ratings in existing buildings within Fishermans Bend, supporting the vision for the precinct of becoming a low-carbon community.

In partnership with Urban Logistics Co., Engineering Scientific International used the main building of the Citiport Business Park - home to the FB IDEAs Hub - as a case study. We invite you to join us as Project Lead and HVAC Expert Dr. Yakow Elgart shares project outcomes, key data insights, and recommendations for scalable, sustainable improvements to HVAC performance in commercial buildings.
