Picture-perfect collaboration: Emerging photographer supports startup founders

A picture tells more than a thousand words. Here is the story behind it.

Thanks to Hub member Theo Adis, FB IDEAs was connected with Rob Coupe from Rachael Michelle, a freshly trained photographer making a career change into professional photography. Stepping into a new profession takes more than technical skills. This opportunity provided a chance to build a portfolio and create connections. Rob set up a pop-up studio at the FB IDEAs Hub and members enjoyed the session with him, now updating their headshots on socials as we speak.

It is also a good example of what a collaborative workspace can offer. Contributing to the community does not always mean sharing specialist engineering knowledge or business expertise. Sometimes it means understanding where a challenge can become an opportunity or a connection makes a difference.

While Rob is not based in Fishermans Bend, the connection through the FB IDEAs network brought another business into the precinct and created an opportunity for collaboration across sectors.

A small connection, a useful opportunity and, in this case, a picture to show for it.
