LEFTOVERS: Art That Rethinks Rubbish

  • Fishermans Bend Circular Design Collective Munro Street (between Montague and Johnson Streets) South Melbourne, VIC, 3205 Australia (map) (map)

What if waste wasn’t the end of something—but the start?.

This bold group exhibition brings together ten artists working with waste materials to  challenge how we value the discarded. Curated by Dodgy Paper and Lousy Ink, two local innovators in residency at the Fishermans Bend Circular Design Collective, the project speaks to the possibility and power of what we usually throw away.

Over several months, the artists have embedded themselves on-site, experimenting with reclaimed inks and large-format recycled paper. Through hands-on making and open-ended exploration, they’ve created an exhibition that showcases large-scale artworks, installations, and behind-the-scenes documentation, inviting audiences to reconsider waste as a vital, dynamic force in contemporary art and design.
