Fishermans Bend Smart Battery Pilot: Driving Energy Savings and Fuelling Startup Growth

  • FB IDEAs Incubator and Innovation Hub Level 1, 650 Lorimer Street Port Melbourne, VIC, 3207 Australia (map)

FB IDEAs is excited to invite you to this project presentation, showcasing innovative hardware solutions developed in Fishermans Bend.

Hear from ELIoT Energy about the outcomes of their smart battery trials which enabled the startup to prototype solutions and connected businesses in Fishermans Bend in their journey to reduce both carbon emissions and costs.

ELIoT will share how they are tackling one of the hidden challenges of the energy transition: millions of small, energy-hungry devices that operate outside traditional solar and battery solutions, yet dominate Scope 3 emissions for hospitality brands and retailers.

Join us in this session to explore:

  • What ELIoT Energy is building and why device-level energy storage matters

  • How FB IDEAs, the Victorian Cleantech Cluster (VCC), and Earth Systems supported ELIoT from prototype to real-world pilots

  • Why hardware startups need physical space, testbeds, and ecosystem support - and why this is still rare

  • What makes Victoria, and Fishermans Bend, uniquely positioned to become a global hub for climate hardware innovation

  • Real outcomes from pilots with local café Six Fifty Sips and brewery CBCo, including significant energy cost and emissions reductions

ELIoT Energy invites you to participate in a forward-looking discussion on the opportunity to build a true hardware incubation ecosystem at Fishermans Bend - from prototype to pilot to scale.

Light catering will be provided.

FREE, but registrations are essential.  Session will be followed by time for networking.
