FB IDEAs was established in 2023 with support from the Victorian Government to lead a pilot program to support activation during the transformation of Fishermans Bend. 

Built on the principles of Innovation, Diversity, Experimentation and Activation, our remit is to support startups, scale ups, creative industries and innovative projects to come to life in Fishermans Bend by providing grant funding, in-kind support and by making sites and spaces in transition available for short term use.  Working in partnership with precinct partners, we also actively promote a collaborative precinct culture and deliver events that contribute to network building.

Since 2023, we have supported close to 70 projects in Fishermans Bend, from concept and early development stages right through to project delivery.

Through our projects and the FB IDEAs Hub in Lorimer Street, we have provided support to over 60 startups and emerging businesses to become part of the growing Fishermans Bend innovation community, with a focus on emerging businesses across the design, engineering and advanced manufacturing sectors.  Find out more about the projects we have supported.
